disks make me ☹

Well - lost another 2 hard disks today.

That makes me 8 disks in 8 years. I’m amazing.

And no - I don’t buy the cheap disks. These were Seagate NL35.2 Nearline drives - pretty much enterprise class backup units that got not a lot of day to day use.

And no - they didn’t die from dust.

Grrr…. hardware sucks. There’s a reason I do most of my work on other people’s hardware these days. As long as I can trust that my subversion repository isn’t corrupted or at least that the backups aren’t corrupted.. I’ll happily pay someone else to maintain my hardware for me.
